Is the sound of a career in the audio industry music to your ears? Then you absolutely must read this short article!
As the specialist Research & Development team at Interfacio, which recruits engineering talent for audio equipment manufacturers, we take great pride in networking with students who are dedicating their academic studies to the pursuit of a career in the audio industry.
Amongst the huge number of engineering courses that are available worldwide, there are a handful of universities that have a reputation for providing excellence in this field. Southampton University falls firmly into this group, and on the 14th February, we will be attending the Engineering & Technology Careers Fair there.
The fair was set up in 2008 and has grown every year since then, with 75 exhibitors planning to be there this year. Interfacio is one, and we will be reaching out to any students who are thinking of following a career in the audio industry. In particular, this means students from the following courses:
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Acoustical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
We are also open to speaking with anyone who wants to apply their chosen subject within the audio industry. Usually, these are students who have a passion for music, sound and audio technology, and the jobs that we recruit for at Interfacio are not just in engineering, but could be in sales, marketing or business roles.
Our clients come from many sectors, such as live sound equipment manufacturers, recording equipment manufacturers, software plugin companies, automotive manufacturers and hi-fi equipment manufacturers – and are based in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia.
At the fair, we are happy to share our experience of recruitment in this field and to hear about students’ plans and goals. Wherever you are in your studies we are keen to find out about you, and if you want to register your details with us this can be done by completing a form on the day. You can also sign up to our newsletters so that you can keep in touch with developments in this exciting field.
Make sure you come and see us at Stand 78, in Hartley Suite 2!
