An opportunity for a software engineer with experience of working with media technology to join the R&D team of a successful manufacturer of lighting consoles and software in the events sector.
Our client is a major player in the development and manufacture of lighting control consoles and software. They have an established R&D team based in the South of England who are developing lighting products that are used for large scale events, festivals, concerts and shows.
As a media software engineer in this team you will be working alongside other engineers to design, develop and support software solutions. Using recognised methodologies, you will create high and low level software, implement test strategies, product documentation, manage software releases and create user manuals. You will need to work effectively within this multi-disciplined team and have the ability to work independently within defined time scales.
- Previous experience of developing C/C++ software in a professional environment
- Experience of media servers, players, real time audio and medias playback
- Experience of ffmpeg, codecs, OpenGL and graphic drivers
- Knowledge of Linux is a big advantage and knowledge of QT is desirable
