About the Company
Our client, a leading global manufacturer of audio products and solutions for the professional, commercial and entertainment markets is seeking an experienced Solutions Sales professional to manage their Systems sales into the corporate and commercial sectors in Birmingham and throughout the Midlands.

About the Role
This an exciting opportunity to joining one of the world’s leading premium audio brands as it continues to develop and expand its commercial systems business in the UK. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Act as the leading brand and product ambassador to identify and develop new business opportunities in the Birmingham and wider Midlands region
  • Manage key customer accounts, building strong trusted relationships with integrators, partners and end clients
  • Deliver excellent customer service and solutions tailored to your customer’s business needs
  • Manage and oversee the sales process from initial contact to commissioning and beyond

About You
What do you need?

  • Proven track record in sales role working with audio technology or other relevant product categories within the system integration or commercial audio sectors
  • Good technical understanding around latest technologies and applications in commercial audio, IT, AV, and conferencing.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to develop relationships with users, as well as with senior business executives, partners and consultants
  • A demonstrable customer focused attitude with a passion to exceed client expectations
  • Strong organisational, time-management and interpersonal skills

Richard has worked in the professional audio industry since graduating from Warwick University, England in 1986 with a BSc Hons in Engineering Science. As a school music scholar with a strong interest in recording, Richard’s career took its own natural course. Initially working in direct sales of high-tech recording equipment supplying the UK music, recording and TV sectors, Richard moved on to work for the Japanese manufacturer Fostex where he became sales and marketing manager for the company’s range of professional audio products. There he spearheaded the development of a number of ground-breaking digital audio products designed for the film and post-production markets. During this time Richard worked on numerous product development and marketing assignments in Europe, Asia, the USA and the UK.
