This is an opportunity for an experienced acoustic engineer to take a key role in a manufacturing company with responsibility for the acoustic test, measurement and validation of digital radio communication products.

They have a successful and expanding engineering team developing robust communication solutions meeting critical safety standards for products that are used worldwide to give clear audio in the most demanding situations.
About the role
The Principal Acoustic Engineer will be responsible for the acoustic testing of audio products, owning the methods, processes and measurement equipment, and working with hardware, software and mechanical engineers to ensure that performance standards are met.
You will have:
- Commercial audio engineering experience developing products through the whole lifecycle.
- Acoustic expertise and understanding of acoustic measurement techniques and acoustic safety standards.
- An understanding of audio signal processing and the evaluation of noise reduction and echo cancelling algorithms.
Knowledge in audio electronics, transducer design and selection, coding for test automation, and design for manufacturing will be beneficial, and the ability to communicate successfully across multiple disciplines is essential.
