This year’s BPM in Birmingham drew crowds ranging from industry experts to the students who are up and coming in the pro light and sound industry. All the big names were in attendance from TW Audio, Bose and Nexo. The likes of Audio-Technica, with their live studio set-up, attracted DJ hopefuls with their innovative products and interactive display. Chauvet held numerous light and sound displays exhibiting the broad spectrum of artists and genres they cater to.

Interfacio visited clients and candidates alike before Richard was due to speak as a part of the Jobs in the Industry panel, designed to offer advice to industry newcomers wanting to break into their first role. The panel also included Kelly Murray, Journalist for TPi Magazine; Al Mouat from Adlib Audio and PSA’s Andy Lenthall. The panelists answered the audience’s questions regarding the best ways to get your first chance and what kind of experience was most important.

To cap the day off, a drink in the club like atmosphere in the Chauvet Arena with industry contacts. As another year wound down for BPM we’re just winding up for the likes of Plasa and AES.
