A leading global brand and manufacturer of professional audio and sound reinforcement systems is seeking an experienced Head of Communications to build and support the global profile of the company.

About The Role

As a Head of Communications, you will lead the creation and implementation of global Marketing and Corporate Communications strategies, programmes and campaigns to build and support the global profile of the company. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will lead the Communications team and play a key part in the development and delivery of the global communications strategy. You will be focused on internal communications and company narrative, as well as support the Company with public relations activity, ensuring both internal and external messages are aligned, co-ordinated and clearly communicated to customers and stakeholders (internal and external) across all locations.

About You

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Demonstrable experience (5+ years) in both internal & external communications on a strategic level within a technology industry.
  • Ability to create engaging communications to support the delivery of business messages across senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge & experience of the professional audio experience is not essential but would be an advantage.
  • Ideally involvement with B2B technology, products or solutions.
  • Strong educational background in communications or marketing.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Richard Wear: Founder and Principal Consultant
Richard has worked in the professional audio industry since graduating from Warwick University, England in 1986 with a BSc Hons in Engineering Science. As a school music scholar with a strong interest in recording, Richard’s career took its own natural course. Initially working in direct sales of high-tech recording equipment supplying the UK music, recording and TV sectors, Richard moved on to work for the Japanese manufacturer Fostex where he became sales and marketing manager for the company’s range of professional audio products. There he spearheaded the development of a number of ground-breaking digital audio products designed for the film and post-production markets. During this time Richard worked on numerous product development and marketing assignments in Europe, Asia, the USA and the UK.
