Infocomm saw the formal announcement following the successful closure of the deal for Harman to buy AMX, continuing the US audio and infotainment group’s move into integrated AV, video and control. For more details see the following Harman announcement. After the purchase of Martin Lighting and the fast integration of that business into the Harman Pro group of businesses, it will be interesting to see how the not insubstantial AMX resources and organisation aligns alongside the other Harman International brands and the various pro and home vertical markets and product categories that they already address. AMX employs approximately 600 people across 19 different global locations and the value of the deal is announced to be USD 365m
