Summary

A global innovator and market leader in touring and installation loudspeaker and related technology is adding a senior sales and business development manager to its growing Singapore team. A professional with tenured experience in the premium segment of the pro audio industry, the successful candidate will manage a focused team of sales professionals to identify, qualify, pursue and close business with distributors, rental companies, venues, houses of worship, and other end users across SE Asia and Oceania. This motivated and creative individual will live in Singapore and travel internationally approximately 2 weeks per month.

Overview

A professional with tenured experience in the premium segment of the pro audio industry, the successful candidate will manage a focused team of sales professionals to identify, qualify, pursue and close business with distributors, rental companies, venues, houses of worship, and other end users across SE Asia and Oceania. This motivated and creative individual will live in Singapore and travel internationally approximately 2 weeks per month.

About the Company
Our client is one of the top companies in the premium loudspeaker systems market and their Singapore subsidiary is responsible for management, marketing and distribution throughout Asia and Oceania. This office has a tight team of sales, marketing, finance, and technical support pros directly supporting end users, system engineers, TD’s, SI’s, and venues with design, commissioning and after sales service.

About the Role
The brand is seeking a highly experienced sales manager with real-world experience in the premium sound reinforcement industry. She/he will have responsibility for direct hands on prospecting plus managing a focused team of sales and business development professionals.

About You
The successful candidate will possess the personality and tenacity to identify, approach and cultivate business with local rental companies, SIs, venues, event managers, government agencies, religious organisations and others.

You will have great written and verbal communications, have experience across various country and cultural boundaries and exhibit sensitivity and humility when presented with local customs/best practices. You will be both a team leader and a team player.

Requirements and desirable experience or capabilities

  • A hunter aptitude, tempered with nuanced cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to prospect, qualify and directly pursue market opportunities
  • Experience in the APAC premium pro audio industry
  • Hands on SR experience with design, commissioning, or operation a plus
  • Positive and energetic disposition
  • Self-starter
  • Able to travel approx.2 weeks per month
