Interfacio are delighted to return to LDI in Las Vegas this week, the leading global conference (15th-20th November) and exhibition (19th-21st November) for lighting and live event professionals, with over 6,000 visitors from more than 85 countries and around 125 exhibitors, showcasing the very latest gear in action.
With a real community feel, more so than ever this year, with the last show being in 2019, and the impact of COVID forcing new and innovative practices and concepts and inspiring new ideas. It’s time to come together and share the latest innovations in lighting, projection/video, audio, special effects, staging/trussing/rigging and automation/software.
LDI provides a great opportunity to get hands-on and try out the very latest cutting-edge technology, as well as deepen your knowledge of existing equipment, through meaningful conversations and training sessions, workshops and interactive events for users. Alongside the exhibition, the conference provides valuable in depth professional training. Don’t miss the New Technology Breakfasts on Lighting and Projection (Friday) and Audio, Staging and Rigging and Special Effects and Lasers (Saturday).
Connecting design and production professionals, there is something for everyone from Artists to Engineers and Lighting Directors, working across the industry in theatre, concerts, clubs, theme parks and live and broadcasting venues.
The eight XLive sessions provide a great opportunity to keep up with the latest trends, the XLive: Building New Immersive Narratives session at 2.30pm on Friday and XLive: Enhance Live Experience with Cutting-Edge Hybrid Technology session at 1.15pm on Saturday look particularly interesting.
Lumen Brothers Live @LDI: Light Talk on Friday 4pm-5pm in Room N107 is another event to add to your show diary. The Light Talk podcast features seasoned professional lighting designers and educators— the original three Lumen Brothers Steve Woods (SMU), Stan Kaye (University of Florida) and David Jacques (California State University Long Beach), plus guests who discuss the latest topics and developments in the world of entertainment and architectural lighting design in an entertaining and informative way.
Celebrating the young talent breaking into the industry, the ‘Fostering the Future’ Happy Hour event on Friday at the LDI Circle Bar + XR Lounge, is sure to be a great event, embracing the next generation of designers, technicians and live event professionals.
